How I Lost 45 Pounds With No Hunger or Fasting

If you want to lose some weight without hunger pangs while still enjoying tasty food, check out this post about how I succeeded on the Dukan Diet.
Having recently lost 45 pounds on the Dukan Diet plan, I was extremely honored for the opportunity to interview Dr. Pierre Dukan, who created the diet. The interview encompasses two articles – Part 1 and Part 2.

Eating a low-fat, high-carb diet was simply not working for me, despite many years of exercising regularly. Over the years, I’d tried many diets, including the Atkins Diet as well as South Beach Diet and Sugarbusters.…

Incredibly quick and easy crockpot meatball soup recipe

crockpot meatball soup recipe

I love Cooked Perfect meatballs, which you can pick up at BJ’s Wholesale Clubs and many grocery stores in their frozen meat sections. Frozen meatballs are extremely versatile, delicious in many ways other than with spaghetti.

It’s important to get the right meatballs, though, since I’ve found some frozen meatballs that taste awful. Start with the right meatballs, though, and you can conjure up a delightful meal such as Meatball Sub Casserole or the following slow cooker favorite, Crockpot Meatball Soup.…

Quick Family Recipe: Cauliflower, Cheese and Bacon Casserole

cauliflower, cheese and bacon casserole recipeI adapted this delicious casserole from some others I found online to make it a Dukan Diet recipe. I’m not sure Dr. Dukan would approve of the bacon, but I’ve eaten it occasionally throughout my experience on the Dukan Diet and still had (and have maintained) successful weight loss.

I also use light cheese rather than fat-free, since the fat-free cheeses I’ve tried tend to taste like cardboard.…

Dukan Diet food review: Great tasting muffin mix and granola

Many Dukan Dieters get tired of eggs for breakfast and look for something different. Some also have problems finding palatable ways of eating their daily oat bran. Fortunately, Dr. Dukan sells his own line of Dukan Diet food products that can help with these issues and generally assist you in reaching your weight loss goals.

One thing I really didn’t expect to like was the Dukan Diet Apple Cinnamon Oat Bran Granola , since I don’t usually like granola.…

Dukan Diet recipe: Vinaigrette and coleslaw

Dukan Diet coleslawThese recipes are courtesy of the Dukan Diet. I already make a similar vinaigrette dressing to the recipe described below. For mine, I mix about 1/3 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar and 2 tsp brown mustard. I prefer a green tossed salad to coleslaw, so I use the dressing on romaine lettuce with some diced tomatoes and feta cheese.…

Study finds low carb diet beats low-fat for weight loss, cardiac risk

Results of a recent study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine contradict long held medical beliefs by showing that low-carb eating thrashes low-fat diets in terms of weight loss along with cardiac risk factors.

Researchers divided 150 obese men and women, ages 22 to 75, into two groups. The low-carb group was told to eat fewer than 40 grams of carbohydrates per day, while the low-fat folks were instructed to derive 30 percent of calories from fat and 55 percent of calories from carbohydrates.…
