They’re regularly $99, but you can pick one up through February 14, 2017 for just $79! That’s the best price I can recall seeing on genealogy DNA testing.

I’ve written previously about my own experience with genealogy DNA testing. My husband bought the test for me as a Christmas gift, and I loved it! I’ve researched my own family history for decades, and the results of my DNA testing were incredibly fascinating.
In addition to the standard genealogy DNA testing, 23andMe also offers a more comprehensive test that includes more in-depth information – 65+ online reports on your ancestry, traits and health. It usually costs $199, but is on sale for $179. This test includes checks to see if you carry a gene for conditions such as cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia and hereditary hearing loss.
It’s amazing what 23andMe says it can tell about you from your DNA with the higher-end test – everything from lactose intolerance and freckles to baldness, hair color and hair curliness. Who knew all of this was in your genes?!
A little bit of your saliva is all it takes to send our DNA off to 23andMe. If you get one, I’d love to hear your story in the comments section!
To receive your kit by Valentine’s Day, be sure to order before February 6. This Valentine’s Day, give the gift of a 23andMe® DNA kit. Save $20. Hurry, offer ends Feb 14!
