What an exciting month this has been so far! Traffic to my blog continues to soar, and I had the honor of garnering some extra attention from two wonderful link-ups. Some of my most popular posts remain related to Roku TV streaming devices. I welcome any comments, questions or article ideas you might have regarding Roku devices. They’re so easy to use and have become so popular that they’re bound to become a much-requested Christmas gift item.
Yes, I said the “C” word, and it’s only September. Much to the dismay (and outright disgust) or some shoppers, stores will very soon start displaying Christmas decorations and merchandise. Have you started Christmas shopping yet? What do you think of stores putting out Christmas decorations and holiday merchandise in early fall?

Featured Post
I was thrilled to find out that the Motivation Monday Linky Party featured my Carpool Survival Guide post! It’s always an honor to be singled out on a link-up.
Of course, I appreciate the extra attention and possible new readers to my blog, but I participate in linky parties mostly to discover other bloggers and find great material to read and share. Motivation Monday is one link-up that I regularly visit and where I find numerous share-worthy posts from dozens of fantastic bloggers.
Famous Freaky Funeral
With the time to buy costumes approaching quickly, I wanted to share this article from a few weeks ago about a British woman’s Halloween-themed funeral. Many mourners, led by Darth Vader, dressed in costumes such as Beetlejuice, the Tasmanian Devil and various witches. Now that’s a celebration of life!
Favorite Pick
Much to my delight, Small Victories Sunday Linkup chose one of my posts as a Favorite Pick – 10 Moneysaving Tips You Can Use Now.
I’m especially proud of this particular post. Over the years, I’ve read a huge number of money saving tips in magazines and newspapers and online. Most provide some variation on the same collection of tired old tips like making your own coffee, eating out less, matching grocery coupons with sales, turning off lights, and so forth.
I actually don’t drink coffee, rarely eat out, have matched coupons with sales for years, and have found that turning off lights doesn’t really save much energy. My list offers many REAL savings secrets you’ve probably never seen before.
