If you have boys who need to take Valentines to school or preschool, they might find frustration at stores in trying to find Valentine’s cards for kids that are on the masculine side. Let’s face it. Your son probably doesn’t want to take My Little Pony, Disney Princess or Frozen Valentines to give out to his friends. Plenty of girls also prefer Valentines that aren’t traditionally “girlie.”
My local dollar store has a nice selection of boxes of 32 Valentines for only $1 in a variety of popular characters, including My Little Pony and Mickey Mouse and Friends. The only non-feminine theme I saw was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Fortunately, you can find loads of wonderful free Valentine printables online.
You’ll need to have 8.5″ by 11″ white cardstock paper and a color printer capable of printing on card stock, plus some sharp scissors for cutting apart your Valentine printables. Many also require PDF viewing software, which your computer probably already has, such as the free Adobe Reader. Here’s a list of some popular Valentines themes and links to free Valentine printables.
