Based on what I’d heard from friends, I couldn’t wait to see Hamilton and signed up for a Disney+ subscription shortly after the film version of Hamilton dropped on the streaming channel. It was completely worth the price. Now I watch it over and over again and listen to the music on my Amazon Echo device, telling Alexa to play the Hamilton soundtrack from Amazon Music.

It’s no wonder the Hamilton soundtrack has had the longest run on the Billboard charts since ‘Hello, Dolly!” in 1964. I can’t get the lyrics out of my head! Here’s a list of some of my favorites. See if you can recall who said them and what songs they’re from.
…
When you got skin in the game, you stay in the game
But you don’t get a win unless you play in the game
…
Dying is easy, young man. Living is harder.
…
Love doesn’t discriminate
between the sinners and the saints,
it takes and it takes and it takes
and we keep loving anyway
…
What is a Legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see.
No stress, my love for you is never in doubt
We’ll get a little place in Harlem and we’ll figure it out
…
Then you walked in and my heart went “Boom!”
…
I gotta holler just to be heard
With every word, I drop knowledge
I’m a diamond in the rough, a shiny piece of coal
Tryna reach my goal
…
Excuse me, miss, I know it’s not funny
But your perfume smells like your daddy’s got money
…
And when push comes to shove
I will send a fully armed battalion to remind you of my love.

If you stand for nothing, Burr, what’ll you fall for?
