In case you’re not familiar with the Dukan Diet, the plan consists of four stages. You lose weight on the first two stages and transition then maintain on the second two. If you’re interested in trying it, you should definitely read the book first.
The Dukan Diet is the closest thing to making it easy to lose weight. Why? Because you never have to feel hungry – ever. During the first stage of the diet, lasting about a week, you eat lean meats, fish, fat-free dairy (including yogurt) and eggs, in unlimited quantities. There’s no measuring portions or counting calories.
In the second stage, you alternate all protein days (eggs, fat-free dairy, lean meats, fish – as much as you want) with protein/veggie days (most veggies allowed in unlimited quantities). I found it helpful to mark my calendar with P for all protein days and V for protein/veggie days so I could easily keep track of what I could eat and when.
I’ve posted numerous Dukan Diet recipes and tips to help others lose weight as I have. You don’t have to buy special Dukan Diet food to succeed on the plan – I didn’t try any Dukan Diet food until I’d already lost weight. However, the site does sell some foods that I wished I’d known about when I was in the process of losing weight, to make things a bit easier.
